Printable: Disney: Snow White Quote
Today it was a rainy day. People immediately talk about staying in bed and they put a grey cloud above their own head. You don't need the sunny skies all the time to be bright. You can bring sun into the world...by being you.

Printable: Faith: Trusting in God
If we counted up all the time we spent worrying, we'd be astonished by the number we see. I know I'm guilty of it. And I know yesterday when all I could think about was only breathing in and breathing out - I prayed and I trusted and today I don't have to think about it so much anymore.

Disney: Motivational: A Quote from a Poet
I like this quote below and the perspective it gives. So I'll just leave it right here.

Disney: Restaurant Recommendation: Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom
When you're at Disney, you are inside what is commonly referred to as the "Disney Bubble." Basically, when you are in Disney - nothing else exists, except princesses, pirates, fairies and whatever experiences Disney can create with their magic. It's the reason I write to you about princess makeovers, eating in castles and what to do should you meet a pirate. So why wouldn't they have a place where you can sit down, take a rest and enjoy a meal in the rainforest? I think it would be weird if they didn't
Park: Disney's Animal Kingdom
Area: Front of Park (right before the turnstiles)
Type: Table Service
Dining Plan: 1 Dining Credit
First, this restaurant is not owned or operated by Disney. They have a contract with Disney and they still do accept dining plans. Rainforest Cafe also has 2 locations. 1 here at Animal Kingdom and the other is in Disney Springs over in the Marketplace. We have only eaten at the one at Animal Kingdom ('cause that's how we roll) and have enjoyed each time we have gone. They have a wide variety on the menu (typical American fare) and we've tried different things each time and we've enjoyed every meal we've had. There's enough variety to keep us all happy and the service has lived up the standard we expect from anywhere we go in Disney. And what a place to eat at Animal Kingdom. The jungle animals go crazy every 15 minutes or so. It's a dependable place we look forward to going to. Give it a try - you just might like hanging out with the animals as you eat.

Printable: Teaching: Mahatma Gandhi Quote
I don't think you can have enough positive stuff on your classroom walls. I feel like if you aren't going to pay attention to me then you have only positive things to stare at and read. And Gandhi was a wise man so there is wisdom in these words.

Printable: Disney: Mulan Quote
Mulan isn't the flashiest princess or the most popular but I think she's pretty great. When you first meet Mulan she's feeling out of place and doesn't feel all that great but when she discovered herself and who she was (this incredibly brave girl trying to save her father and then her country) she was in the face of adversity again. She blossomed into a flower that no one could touch. The girl has soul. So we all feel out of place at times (maybe some more than others) but no matter how old or young you are, you can always bloom into the person you want to be, the person you were meant to be. I feel I kind of bloomed again this past fall and I'm 20+13 (I like my age but I like to say it like this) and I have no doubt that as time passes I'll bloom again.

Printable: Faith: Give it to God and Go to Sleep
It is something we are all guilty of - we worry and we obsess. When we have an easy answer - pray to God, give Him your worry and sleep. Literally close your eyes and sleep - keep out the what ifs, keep out the scenarios of things going wrong and have peace. Dealing with things may not still be easy but you've got someone on your side to take care of you and help show you the way. So I'll leave this little guy right here for you.

Printable: Motivational: Take A Nap
I love this printable today. There's not always right or wrong and you don't always win the fight. Sometimes you need space to just get over it and move on. I think a nap is a great way to do that.

Disney: Ride Recommendation: Kilimanjaro Safaris
Disney is great in that you are in Central Florida but oh the places they let you go. One of the coolest things they let you do is hands down bring the plains of Africa to you when you head to Disney's Animal Kingdom and take a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
Park: Disney's Animal Kingdom
Area: Africa
Fastpass+ Available
This ride is a wonder. First, because you get to go and discover wild animals you never get to ride the same ride twice. There is always something new to discover every time you ride. I've been riding this ride since 1999 and it's still gives me the same excitement as it did the first time. It's one of the largest attractions on property at Disney and you get to take 18 or so minutes out of your day and re-discover how awesome nature is. And always be on the lookout for a new baby giraffe or elephant - they never disappoint to delight and entertain. And with the addition of night life coming to Animal Kingdom they will be adding night time safaris! It will a whole new experience including getting to use night vision goggles. Night life is being delayed (Rivers of Light was to start April 22 but has been moved to May. #ThanksShanghai) but it should be in full swing as summer gets into full swing. We cannot wait! And kudos to the cast members who work this ride - they are actually driving your ride vehicle while reciting a script and pointing out all the animals. I absolutely recommend using a fastpass on this ride because it is very popular and always has a pretty hefty wait time. A definite must do!

Printable: Lyrics: Clouds
My grandparents have been on my mind. I lost my grandma on March 11, 2005. This was before Superman, before Cupcake, I had just moved to Maryland so her last little chick had gotten her start in the world and she could join my grandpa. I lost my grandpa on April 17, 1993. This was, of course, before any of the above. It was before "me". I was just becoming a "tween" so my world view was limited. What my world was filled with was them - the only 2 grandparents I knew. They knew they were the only grandparents I knew and they blessed me so much that they really could have been a whole other set. They still look out for me, of that I have no doubt. Cupcake was dramatic even when I was pregnant so my theory is that they were taking care of her until it was time for her to join us. One day we'll see each other again. A boy named Zach wrote a song about it when he was losing his own cancer battle so it could bring comfort to his loved ones. So see this and take comfort because for whoever you are missing - you'll see them again.

Printable: Disney: Peter Pan
Peter Pan's big in our house. I adore the musical and Cupcake has loved the Disney movie from an early age. I love the thought of flying to Neverland and being there with pirates, mermaids, Tiger Lily (the part I always wanted to play), The Lost Boys and Tinkerbell. So how do you get there? Easy, take the second star to the right and straight on 'til morning. So just in case you forget, here's a printable to help you remember. ;) I can't remember why but I ended up doing it twice so take the one you like best or grab them both!
Printable: Faith: Romans 9:25
Perhaps one the greatest things about God is His ability to take us all in. No matter your status or situation, how lucky or burdened you are - God has room for us all and more than that He WANTS us all. He does the single greatest thing - He loves us all. He wants to take us and bring us from our lonely black holes and show us He loves us. So no matter what I'm feeling or going through or how hard I think it is God is still there loving me. And that's no matter how I feel about myself, He's still there.

Printable: Motivational: Courage
We all want to feel brave and that we are making a difference, doing something of consequence. Being brave or having courage isn't always done in big or dramatic ways, most of the time it's courage to keep going. The bravest and hardest thing you will ever do is to pick yourself up and keep going, even when you don't want to, even when it seems impossible, even when you don't think there is anywhere to go. Just remember to always put one foot in front of the other.

Disney: Recommendation: Fantasmic!
Disney World does amazing nighttime entertainment is pretty great. I love Wishes, love Illuminations and can't wait for Rivers of Light to start at Animal Kingdom. I love all the nighttime shows in different ways but they really are all pretty great. My favorite of them all is Fantasmic! This show is so fun! It has Lion King and Princesses and Mickey getting back his imagination from the villains! It has fireworks, projections on water and live performers. All of it put together is a show to fall in love with. This show is all about Mickey's imagination. Mickey. All of the wonderful things that came from Disney pretty much came from Mickey's imagination (ya know since Walt invented Mickey and even voiced him for a time). Best part - the music. What a great score! Fantasmic! is a very popular show so I recommend 2 courses of action. 1.) You can get a Fastpass+ for this. Now rumor floating around is Fastpass is going away for the parades and shows so keep an eye on that. 2.) The way we use is to book the Fantasmic! Dinner Package. You get to pick from 1 of 3 restaurants at Hollywood Studios (all of the restaurants accept the dining plan) and then you get VIP seating at the first showing of Fantasmic! (I mean it - it's center section seating). If you don't plan on using the dinner package be prepared to be in line early and for a long time or if you go on a night where there is a second show plan for the later one. Back when we were newbies in 2010 we figured we wouldn't be making the first show with the line we saw so we grabbed some dinner and went to the later showing - it was neat. It was about 11 when it was all over and the then 2 year old Cupcake asked what we were doing next. It's a favorite of all 3 of us. Here's some pictures...
Ready to see our first show! Cupcake - age 2 1/2
It's a great time and a definite must see!
Take a sneak peek at this YouTube Fantasmic video but just remember you can't beat seeing the show live and in person.

Printable: Spring Subway Art
Spring is here...I might be a little late but I really don't count spring until April starts anyway so here' Spring Subway art for you!
Printables: Lyrics: Cloud 9
Cloud 9 is a Disney Channel movie that Cupcake discovered one summer on Netflix. So naturally what happens? I absorbed it into my brain and the song got stuck there. And when songs get stuck in my brain is when I take time to look at it and I realized it's not a bad song and I like the lyrics. I enjoy the lyrics about working hard to obtain your goal and not only is obtaining your goal pure happiness but the journey to getting there is too. I love that! Seriously, I do. I started to think about when I want an end result how happy I get organizing and agonizing and creating to accomplish it. I originally was going for a larger section of lyric but in the end I went simple because your cloud 9 is not mine so just enjoy your whatever your cloud 9 is.

Printable: Disney: The Lion King
The past. We all have a past. Not everyone has a pretty past but what do we do with it. It's not something we can go back and fix so how do you deal with it. How do you let your past define you? My past...there are good memories, things that still hurt me, and of course, a whole host of things wish I could change. So what do we do with this past of ours? You can forget it - meaning you won't deal with it and it will eat at you. The other option is what can you learn? What could you do better, is it something you can fix? Rafiki from the Lion King does say it best...
